I am sure there are some herbs and drugs available to help temporarily increase focus and short-term memory retention (ie useful for a test), but as far as permanent intelligence, I am doubtful. To me the best way to keep acquiring knowledge and become smarter is to give those brain cells activity. Reading, writing, logic problems, and complex math will boost the brain activity. I am sure that herbs/drugs can assist you but without the actual activity it is akin to a lifter taking steroids and sitting on his arse all day watching telly.
